Relationship Status: Single Age: 25 Bloodline: Pureblood or Half-blood, but most likely Pureblood  Physical Description: With long, mid-back blonde hair and silvery blue eyes, Luna is tall and thin now that she's finally finished growing through her awkward teenage years. Of course, her perpetually surprised look has only modified to a constant state of inquisition or dreaminess. She moves daintily, and although she is slender, Luna has filled out in all the right places. Of course, that doesn't stop her from wearing clothes that still have a tendency to make her look more like a gypsy than a professional journalist. Personality: To describe Luna as quirky would be trying to describe to a nargle why muggles like mistletoe. Serene and completely uncaring of what others think of her, Luna sort of drifts from day to day in a state of casual happenstance. She is incredibly intelligent and bizarrely perceptive, but Luna doesn't see herself like that. She sees herself as simply Luna, the daughter of an equally open-minded father with a penchant for curiosity. On the inside, though, in a place that she doesn't really share with many people, Luna is a little fragile, and still missing her mother. Luna has quite a few layers, and she rarely ever lets people delve into them, although not necessarily bceause she doesn't trust others, because she doesn't feel it's important. Now 25 and no longer the completely spaced out student she once was, Luna's layers have shifted and she has grounded herself more. Still an incurable conspiracy theorist and mythical creature hunter, Luna has let her behavior "normalize" a little by others' standards, mainly due to the unusual standards by which wizards and witches have now been forced to live. Personal History: Luna Lovegood, a native of Otterly St. Catchpole where her family lives, lost her mother at the age of 9. Her mother, who was an extraordinarily curious witch herself, was experimenting with a spell when it backfired, and Luna witnessed the death of her own mothers. Because of this death, Luna has been able to see thestrals since then, and thus, she is much like her father, whose open-minded, almost crazy beliefs had led him to start and run the Quibbler, an off the beat, out of left field wizarding newspaper. Throughout her first four years of school after being sorted into Ravenclaw, Luna was used to becoming the butt of frequent jokes because she simply wasn't like everyone else. During fourth year, however, something changed: She met and befriended Harry Potter. She also joined Dumbledore's Army when Harry formed the group, and secured a place within a circle of friends, something she'd never had before. In 1996, Luna helped Harry and the rest of the Army during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, an event that took Harry's godfather's life. Afterwards, Luna momentarily let down her guard as she comforted him, letting him know that she understood his pain, and that she knew one day she would meet her mother again in the afterlife, and that he would meet Sirius again.  During her Sixth year in school, Luna became closer to Neville Longbottom, and helped him and Ginny Weasley revive Dumbledore's Army. After the war had ended, though, with the school in shambles, Luna returned home to stay with her father over the summer. When a school was opened in the Hebrides, Luna went so that she could complete her final year of school, and then returned home after passing her OWLs with flying colors. Unfortunately, Luna had no real direction at first as to what she wanted to do, and so she did the only thing she knew: She helped her father with The Quibbler. During Luna's run with the Quibbler, she continued to write mainstream articles covering the newest events in the wizarding world. But, unfortunately, all of that came to an end in 2005, when the Wizarding world was completely exposed. Keeping in touch with Neville had been the boon she needed during the tumultous time after the London tube bombing, as her father had agreed to relocate. Unfortunately, he chose to relocate to France, as he wanted somewhere where he could live in peace and still have the freedom to investigate his theories. Luna, however, had grounded more over the events of the last five years, and she declined. After hearing of Hawkhead, she decided to move out there as well, where she knew other wizards would be. The money she and her father had saved from the Quibbler's sales over the years was enough to get her started, and with the paltry sum leftover after she bought a small house, she decided to use her money to buy a printing press. Thus was born the Hawkhead Hawkeye, and Luna's thoughts that maybe, just maybe, she could help wizards somehow.
